Improved Surveillance in Uttar Pradesh

The residents of Uttar Pradesh will now feel safe and secure, wherever they go. This has been achieved by the great initiatives of our Chief Minister, Akhilesh Yadav. He has always believed in making use of the recent technology and using them to benefit one and all. This can be seen in his visionary thinking of launching two surveillance projects in the state.

The first one is called ‘Drishti’ in which the state government will install 280 CCTC cameras at 70 crossings in the city of Lucknow. This will help in keeping a track of law breakers and mischief makers and to keep a watch on all the crossings. There will be lesser hit-and-run cases and the citizens can expect justice, much quickly.

According to the other one, ‘Samman’ programme, there will be at least two CCTV cameras installed in all the police stations, across Uttar Pradesh. Pilot testing is being conducted in Lucknow and will ensure transparency in the functioning of the police stations and to check the behaviour of the police staff with the complainants.

The Digital CM said, “Improvement in policing was essential to increase investment in the state. A study by a retired senior official of Andhra Pradesh is being conducted to improve policing in the state.”

Such initiatives make sure that the citizens are at peace.
