From a Laid-back Nawabi Culture to an IT hub: Why We Just Love our Rising Pradesh?
HCL Technologies, the country’s fourth largest IT Company has declared Lucknow to be the next IT hub in the country. “Lucknow is the next IT hub of UP and the educated youth of the region would not need to migrate to the metros for employment in future,” HCL senior vice president Sanjay Gupta said, who is also opening a training centre in our state.
The IT City in Uttar Pradesh will be spread across 100 acres with an investment of Rs 1,500 crore. The initial training facilities will provide employment to 25,000 people, with 50% of them being reserved for women. The IT City development project is often called the Chief Minister, Akhilesh Yadav’s ‘dream project’, who focuses on empowering the youth of the state by overcoming the digital divide and creating new institutions for skill development.
During the recent review meeting, Akhilesh Yadav directed his officials to ensure that the IT City projects starts functioning by October 2016.The Chief Minister was apprised of various bottlenecks in the project after which he ordered regular monitoring of the project. “Regular monitoring will help in completing the project in fixed timeline,” he said. He also pointed out that the Samajwadi government was working for speedy and comprehensive development so that UP could be made a front-ranking state in the country. “To achieve this target timely completion of infrastructure projects is necessary,” CM added.
