Connect With Uttar Pradesh’s Eco-Tourism Digitally

Uttar Pradesh with its 16620 square km woodland territory is home to some delightful scenes and forest. There are streams and waterfalls. There are plains and hills. The state provides safety to a large number of endangered birds and animals. There are forest dwelling tribes and communities who have maintained their traditions and culture while embracing modern technologies and life-styles. Uttar Pradesh Government with its strong commitment to conservation is promoting eco-tourism to the wilderness areas of the state, under the leadership of Akhilesh Yadav.
In an endeavour to showcase these natural treasures for the tourists with an active participation of local communities so that the visitors can appreciate the grandeur and generosity of nature, understand the importance of recycling and curbing consumption, and imbibe the culture of nature and resource conservation. This form of responsible tourism is now known as eco-tourism. To make it even simpler, our Digital CM has launched a website to make it simpler for people, across the world. Now you can access UP’s eco-tourism on your fingertips!
There is one national park, 11 wildlife sanctuaries, and 24 bird sanctuaries to provide protection to the endangered biodiversity of the state. Some bird sanctuaries have been declared ‘important bird areas’ by the Bombay Natural History Society. And now you can visit them all.
The website lets you plan your trip with ease and gives you a virtual tour so that you can decide better. You can even choose your circuit of eco-tourism from the 9 routes available or make your own adventurous path. Explore the colourful and vivid photo and video gallery or learn more about the government schemes.
