Communication With Police Simplified Through Mobile App

According to reports, nearly 10 lakh complaints of lost items are registered ever year, across the police stations in Uttar Pradesh. These include mobile phones, voter ids, Aadhar card, passport, and other such important documents. A lot of times, it is a hassle for the citizens to visit the police station and lodge and FIR and more often than never, they are not aware as to how to go about it. For times like these, the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Akhilesh Yadav launched two mobile applications which will help people to interact directly with the police.

One of them is called, ‘UP Police Lost Article Report App’. With this, the citizens can now lodge a complaint without visiting a police station. They will receive a digitally signed copy of the acknowledgment on their mobile phones which will serve as an FIR.

The Digital CM also came up with an Institutional Security App ‘Tatpar’ which, in case of an emergency, will provide instant police assistance. You can send an alert to the SHO of the nearest police station, police control room and the Superintended of the police, simultaneously, by simply pressing a button on your mobile phone. The applications have been successfully tested in Ambedkar Nagar and rolled out for people.

Such initiatives make the people feel secure, comfortable, and at ease. Thank you, Sir!
