REVEALED: First look of Akhilesh Yadav’s Vikas Rath Yatra in Uttar Pradesh
The State of Uttar Pradesh is fast moving on the path to progress, courtesy several new measures and initiatives launched and implemented by the young Akhilesh Yadav Government. The resulting change is being witnessed by the masses, be it the farmers, the minorities, the youth and student community, the business houses and industrialists and also the neglected and poor masses.
During the present tenure of the State Government, Uttar Pradesh has surged ahead, in comparison to other Indian states, on various indices. To highlight the achievements, CM Akhilesh Yadav has undertaken Samajwadi Vikas Rath Yatra on November 3. This is Akhilesh’s second rath yatra. He undertook a similar one in 2011 and termed it as Kranti Rath Yatra
A flock of red-capped Samajwadi Party (SP) workers swarmed on Vikramaditya Marg, outside SP’s Lucknow headquarters (HQ) on September 12 morning, minutes before the Samajwadi Kranti Rath Yatra was flagged off. Akhilesh Yadav heralded this three-month-long, multi-phase political pilgrimage. ‘Karo Ya Maro’ (do or die) was his slogan to motivate SP workers ahead of the Assembly elections. Kranti Rath Yatra covered nearly 5000 kilometres in 2012. In his Yatra , Akhilesh Yadav slammed BSP Supremo and the then UP CM Mayawati during his public rallies. During his three-month-long ‘rath’ and ‘cycle yatra’ across the state, Akhilesh also protested against caste and communal politics.
Kranti Rath Yatra was welcomed by people all across the state. All the credit goes to Ahilesh Yadav, the man behind scripting the Samajwadi Party’s most spectacular success.
Let us go back to the memory lane and have a look at the previous Kranti Rath Yatra, 2012
With the Uttar Pradesh assembly elections just round the corner, Akhilesh Yadav recently revealed the FIRST LOOK of his UP Campaign – Samajwadi Vikas Rath Yatra on his twitter handle. And we can’t get our eyes off it!
Akhilesh Yadav will hold ‘development rallies’ in 75 districts across state to re-establish faith of people in the party. Vikas Rath Yatra would drive through the 302-km long expressway and cover the Yadav bastion of Ferozabad, Manipuri, Kannauj and finally culminate it with a rally in Saifai. The idea to take the rath yatra through the expressway is mooted as it symbolises the successful completion of one of the biggest projects launched by Akhilesh Yadav.
