It is a known fact that the Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister, Akhilesh Yadav, is extremely active on social media platforms and hence it is very simple to get him to hear of your problems.

So, Ghaziabad-based social activist Alok Kumar, tweeted a photograph of overflowing sewage water in Ahimsa Khand II of Indirapuram, urging the chief minister to have a look at the pathetic state of civic amenities in the township.

Akhilesh Yadav immediately directed civic and administrative authorities in Ghaziabad on the same day to mitigate the problem of sewage overflow in Indirapuram.

Alok Kumar, president of the Federation of Apartment Owners’ Association (FedAOA) of Ghaziabad, had also filed a PIL in the Allahabad high court earlier this year over the issue of sewer overflow. The high court had issued an order on February 4, directing FedAOA members to jointly convene a meeting with GDA officials so that effective steps can be chalked out to solve the sewage overflow issue.
