Only UPCM Responds to Woman’s tweet and changes the lives of Ghazipur ragpickers’ kids
Arpna Chandail, who teaches Ghaziabad rag pickers’ children after her office hours, one day decided to seek help on social media platform. She tweeted for assistance for these young children on 7th June 2016; tagging the Union HRD ministry, the Prime Minister’s Office, Arvind Kejriwal, Manish Sisodia, UP government, and many more. She requested these authorities to get her students enrolled in Government schools so that they can continue their formal education.
But, what happened next, was only half heartedly expected by Arpna. She was hoping for a miracle but when she received a tweet from @CMOfficeUP she was overjoyed. The office of UP Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav, responded to her tweet within 2-3 hours assuring help. Such swift action from the UP Government is commendable and shows the power and reach of social media platforms.
Post this conversation, the UP Government came into action and sent a message to the Ghaziabad district authorities to immediately go and check up on the lead. Arpna could not stop thanking the young CM.
At present, 36 of a total of 43 children from the area have been admitted to the primary school in Bhovapur on 13th June 2016, following the conservation on Twitter. Chandail was very happy with the response and thanked the UP Government and UPCM Akhilesh Yadav several times through her tweets.
The officials of the basic education department said that apart from free formal schooling, the children would also get free books, school uniforms, and midday meals. Vimal Kumar Sharma, district magistrate, Ghaziabad said, “Our teams surveyed the area and we got these children admitted to the government school, those remaining will soon be admitted. Our teams are finding suitable schools in their locality.”
The digital presence of Akhilesh Yadav yet again proves that he is truly a DigitalCM. The whole incident entails the power of digital platform of networking sites; and has also proved that Mr. Akhilesh Yadav has deployed his digital and social admiration to help those children and again give us a reason to call him DigitalCM.
