The objective of Twitter Seva will be to inject solution as a real-time complaint redressal and feedback-gathering mechanism. With the help of the Twitter dashboard, queries and complaints will be easily monitored and quick actions shall be taken. A detailed analysis of the tweets will be helpful in giving insights about their audience along with the receptiveness and impact of their tweets.

How will #TwitterSeva revolutionise police service in Uttar Pradesh?

Twitter-based customer relation management (Twitter Seva) is a platform in which through a software complaints would be forwarded to concerned districts with a unique code generated after a complaint is registered. Through these codes, complaints will be tracked at every step. It will also help command centre (in Lucknow) to know about the status of complaints on a click of a mouse.

This is not it. Twitter Seva is also a performance-monitoring system. It has analytics to monitor the performance of the district police. The Twitter handles of all eight inspector generals (zone), 18 deputy inspector generals and 75 district police have been configured on the website.

UP Police 24×7

Many recent reports have come up showing the watchfulness of the UP police. One being Bareilly police solving a complictaed case within 24 hours.

Another in the list includes a case in which a boy was murdered and the police actively responded to the complaint and took necessary actions.

The most talked incident was when Meerut Police quickly reacting on a tweet by Neha Parmar, who complained about abduction of a little girl in Delhi.

Looking at all these incidents, we can say that safety, security, easy police accessibility and reduction in crime rate are the top priorities of Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav. No grievance or case will go unnoticed with the introduction of Uttar Pradesh’s first of its kind UP Police #TwitterSeva.

Let us congratulate the Akhilesh Yadav led UP Government for ensuring that UP Police is better equipped to tackle safety issues of not just the state but also its citizens.
